I had a good life in Sydney; I love this beautiful place and who wouldn't want to live in Australia. I was a scared and shy when I first came to Australia in 2004 but it did not matter as I had ES to depend on emotionally and financially. I enrolled a few courses at TAFE just to get to know what I can do in terms of work or business. I find it is also a good way of getting to know people and the culture.
I did a night shift job at one of the big supermarket Woolworths as filling shelves in the supermarket. It was a very good experience though it lasted only 2 months during the Christmas and New Year period. Then I had to concentrate in the business with ES and at the same time doing a Website Design course at TAFE.
I was offered a job to update an online retail website which I took though it was only a 2-day/week job. I thought that was brilliant as I could still do work for the business and complete my course. I ended up doing this job for the next 4 years until they kept putting off paying their invoices so I left and moved on.
Then I started my own business creating and developing websites for small businesses. I did a few websites and also did some sub-work but it did not do as well as I hoped because it was time consuming, the competition was tough still is and technology changes very quickly. It was interesting but time consuming and I know my limits. I prefer managing web contents.
With my bookkeeping experiences and courses, I got a bookkeeping job from a company called Acheron Project which I did until the company's project was completed for about a year.
And here I am making inquiries on how I can bring my stuff home to Malaysia in the most economical way. I don't have much but enough to have them send separately.
