My laptop is my office and internet connection is vital to get my job done...thankfully I get access to both. I can't imagine what I will do without both...
I do my work from home but most of the time from client's office. I like doing work from home but the problem is the distraction. Yupp...the kitchen, there is always something there even if it's just making a cup of tea every hour...biscuits, nuts..hmmm. What about the shop...yes I better go and get some groceries at the shop around the corner.
On a hot sunny day, the pool can be a distraction as well. What if your brain is stuffed up, you'd want to cool yourself down, won't you? hehe
My client for the past four years is relocating to a new showroom and warehouse cum office. It's a huge job renovating and setting up the new showroom with point of sale system setup, webstore...one must be very focused and determine...I really admire them.
My part is to export all items in the inventory to the new system and it's not a straight forward job, it's complex. It has to be completed by end of the week...end of the week?...there are thousands of items and that's 3 days to go. Well, that will make me busy which is good for my mind...and my bank account. :-)
I'll miss the old warehouse though but I won't miss the trip which is 30km away, the new office is 5km away from home...yeahhh.. can't wait.
