...Looking Back

wow wow... I have been thinking about this for a long time and I think I have finally made my decision to move back home to Malaysia and be close to my beloved family. It is not as hard a decision as when I first migrated to Australia...Sydney in particular. Well. actually it is not an easy decision either.

I had a good life in Sydney; I love this beautiful place and who wouldn't want to live in Australia. I was a scared and shy when I first came to Australia in 2004 but it did not matter as I had ES to depend on emotionally and financially. I enrolled a few courses at TAFE just to get to know what I can do in terms of work or business. I find it is also a good way of getting to know people and the culture.

I did a night shift job at one of the big supermarket Woolworths as filling shelves in the supermarket. It was a very good experience though it lasted only 2 months during the Christmas and New Year period. Then I had to concentrate in the business with ES and at the same time doing a Website Design course at TAFE.

I was offered a job to update an online retail website which I took though it was only a 2-day/week job. I thought that was brilliant as I could still do work for the business and complete my course. I ended up doing this job for the next 4 years until they kept putting off paying their invoices so I left and moved on.

Then I started my own business creating and developing websites for small businesses. I did a few websites and also did some sub-work but it did not do as well as I hoped because it was time consuming, the competition was tough still is and technology changes very quickly. It was interesting but time consuming and I know my limits. I prefer managing web contents.

With my bookkeeping experiences and courses, I got a bookkeeping job from a company called Acheron Project which I did until the company's project was completed for about a year.

And here I am making inquiries on how I can bring my stuff home to Malaysia in the most economical way. I don't have much but enough to have them send separately.

"Summer" is finally here...

Finally Summer is here...now we can start complaining of the heat.. :-).  The weather has been wet and gloomy since the beginning of Summer season which started in December...we did not really experience hot summer heat as it was in the previous years untill the 1st day of the new year and it has been hot since...it reached 39 degrees C today...

ok..ok.. this is supposed to be a draft & not published yet but I don't think I will be able to add anything so I decided to add some photos instead and publish it.

I prefer the coolish summer though....

New Year's Eve 2012

The highlights of New Year's eve is the countdown and fireworks display. This year as usual millions of people gather around the harbour in Sydney including visitors from all over the world to experience the spectacular fireworks display. Initially I intended to go to the office on new years eve becuase it is the best aeriel view of the Harbour bridge and surroundings. Some friends wanted to go but it was too far to drive about 30km from home so I changed my mind and instead watched the countdown on TV.

Beautiful beautiful display..
